About Us

For Justin and Erin McMahan, ministry and leadership have always been deeply connected to family.

Originally from the Portland area, Justin and Erin have called the Oregon Coast home for the past six years, where they serve together as pastors of Living Water Fellowship. They have five children and recently entered a new season of life as grandparents when their daughter Morgan and her husband Micheal welcomed their son, MJ. When they aren't at church or working, some of their favorite time is simply being outside and spending time with their family.

Justin began vocational ministry in 2002, but his path hasn't been a straight line. After experiencing burnout early in ministry, he stepped away and spent years building a career in business leadership. For more than two decades, he has led teams, developed leaders, opened new markets, trained managers, built organizational systems, and learned leadership from both the ministry and business worlds.

Eventually, God led Justin and his family back into pastoral ministry. In 2020, Justin and Erin began leading Living Water Fellowship together on the Oregon Coast. The years since have reinforced something Justin learned through his own journey: healthy organizations require healthy leaders, and healthy leadership begins much deeper than strategy.

That conviction eventually became Breaking Silos.

Today, Justin and Erin’s work brings together their experience in pastoral ministry, business, organizational leadership, and Justin’s own story of burnout and healing. Through Breaking Silos, the Church Health System, coaching, consulting, training, and speaking, his goal is to help leaders recognize what's happening beneath the surface, become healthier themselves, and build organizations where people can thrive.
